Privacy Policy
What this policy covers
This policy explains how Can I Use AI? handles information when you visit the website, create an account, manage a workspace, or complete an AI-use check. Can I Use AI? is operated by Alentra. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
Information we collect
- Account information: your name, email address, profile image, email-verification status, and sign-in provider.
- Workspace information: workspace and policy names, region, member roles, settings, policy rules, versions, and billing status.
- Check information: answers, calculated guidance, timestamps, the policy version used, and identifiers needed to maintain an audit record.
- Technical information: security logs and, only if you consent, Firebase Analytics events about how the website is used.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate users, provide and secure workspaces, apply the correct policy, produce requested guidance, maintain versioned records, prevent abuse, support users, and meet legal obligations. Analytics is optional and is not activated until you allow it.
Services that process information
Firebase Authentication and Firestore provide identity and application data services. Google Analytics for Firebase processes consented usage analytics. ProseID supplies the private schema, Flow, validation, and versioned-record infrastructure used by the product. Hosting and operational providers process only the information needed to deliver their services.
Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies maintain the secure server session and protect requests from forgery. A local preference remembers whether you allowed Analytics. Optional Analytics storage is denied unless you choose “Allow analytics”; advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalisation remain denied.
Access, exports, and deletion
Any member can export the account information, workspace memberships, and checks related to that member. Only a workspace owner can export the complete workspace. An owner can permanently delete a workspace. You can delete your account after deleting every workspace you own; deleting a member account does not delete workspaces owned by someone else.
Retention and security
We keep information while an account or workspace is active and for as long as needed to provide records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or meet legal requirements. Owner-requested workspace deletion ends access immediately and schedules its completed ProseID records for permanent deletion after a 30-day recovery period. Technical version identifiers and non-personal integrity evidence may remain where needed to prevent a deleted record from being recreated. We use access controls, secure server sessions, restricted server credentials, and service-provider security features, but no online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or erase personal information. Use the controls in workspace settings or contact [email protected]. You may withdraw Analytics consent by clearing the site’s stored consent preference and choosing “Only necessary” when asked again.
